The documentary project began as the brainchild of Liz Zetlin, one of the festival artistic directors, community arts advocate, and poet laureate of Owen Sound in 2007 and 2008.  Myke Dyer agreed early on to work with Zetlin, and the project is being carried on with the able assistance of others who joined the team more recently, including Ian Ferrier, a spoken word poet from Montreal who conducted the interviews with poets and offers ongoing advice about the project. Filmmaking is always a team enterprise, and we anticipate help and support from many others before the project is done, including the many willing and dedicated volunteers who want to see this project happen to the credit of our community.
